Raising the standards of bread distribution
Warburton’s is the Bolton-based bakers! The firm produces one million bakery products per day and sells to independent bakers and supermarket chains. Warburtons is currently the UK's third biggest bread manufacturer.
Parker Sandford designed, developed and implemented an online system that allowed data from the Warburton’s SAP system to be made available on a secure extra net, allowing suppliers with their own pricing section to securely log in and request and manage their pricing structure with Warburtons.
Simultaneously, we also gave Warburtons access to this system to view all requests and changes on the supplier side with a ‘traffic light’ function to colour code the status of various prices and respond toprice changes.
This system has speeded up the complete supply chain relationship, allowed collection and analysis of key commercial data and allowed suppliers to securely access the extranet, hence improving supplier-client relations.
